Millions of Nigerians no longer have confidence in their political office holders in this dispensation.
This is very obvious.
The citizens are fed up of deceit and lies from those who are supposed to be role models.
Although those in public offices live in open affluence, the generality of the people is contending with insecurity, hunger and poverty.
Intimidation, threats and attacks are now tools of governance; considering the law enforcement agencies which now serve as mediums of repression and suppression.
Indiscipline, lawlessness, immorality, profanity, obscenity and criminality are presently trends among the young and old.
The leaders are helpless, since most of them are morally bankrupt and responsible for the rot in the system.
A certain number of fathers, mothers and guardians are distraught and confused as their children and wards continue to go astray on a daily basis; while a sizable number of them aid and abet their children in engaging in the earlier mentioned vices.
Sadly, members of society carry on as if all is well, whereas all has actually gone wrong.
Will the present situation be corrected by the present crop of leaders?
It is very doubtful.
