The Editor-in-Chief of the online investigative news website, The New Federation has petitioned the chairman of the Ibadan branch of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) over the misconduct by one of its members-Abdulramon Adeoti and Company of No. 20 Oluyide street, Sobande Avenue, Oremeji, Mokola, Ibadan/0703959776/0812653307.
The petition titled MISCONDUCT BY YOUR MEMBER and dated 14 September, 2026 stated,’’ On Saturday, 12th September, 2026 at about 5/30 am in the morning and under the cover of darkness, trespassed by sneaking into a block of four flats at 3, Kerhinde Aderigbe street, Olorunsogo, Molete, Ibadan (inherited from y late father) to paste a notice. At about 9.00am in the morning when I was on my way out of the community, hired thugs attacked and threatened to kill me, if I don’s pack out of my residence immediately. Take note that before this incident, hired thugs has invaded my residence, vandalized installed facilities and looted equipment worth over N15million’’.
Similarly, the journalist also petitioned the commandant of the Oyo state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and urged the commandant to use his good office to investigate the matter.
